Techno Kitty and the Fabulous Five

Oh ma coeur. It’s so hot I wish to speak ze French.

It is le heatwave. Le heatwave grande. Grandioso. Ay caramba.

Luckily it’s still vacation. I don’t know if I would survive going to work in this heat.

I can survive going to the playground ofcourse.

050712_boywater.jpg

See, everyone should play with water. That’s my philosophy.

Also, they should play with goats.

050712_kidsgoats.jpg

It’s always fun when kids who aren’t used to the animals come around. Then I get to feel special because I’m sitting and having fun with the goats. The kids ask “aren’t you scared?”. I say no, and try to help them get close to the animals. It’s sweet, seeing how happy the get when they dare to pet one of the goats for the first time for example.

Magnethe is growing so fast. But still not too big to drink from mother.

050712_magnethedrink1.jpg

050712_magnethedrink2.jpg

It’s cute. Her tail starts wagging all over. And then when Mathilde gets tired of it and walks away, Magnethe gets up and looks around for a second and then licks her lips. Mmm good milk.

050712_mathildemagnethe.jpg

Aren’t they sweet?

050712_mathilde.jpg

I brought apples for Mathilde. She still loves them. Yummy yummy apples.

050712_sunnyplayground.jpg

A beautiful day.

050712_growngeeselings.jpg

Geeselings have grown big, but still greyish.

050712_boy.jpg

Kids and animals on summer days. That’s always good.

At home I decided to have a tea party. I was all out of tea though.

050712_redglass.jpg

Some red soda had to do. Everyone was invited.

050712_sodaparty.jpg

Duckie played some tunes on his sax. Tigger Le Pez jumped around like crazy. A good time was had by all.

My dad didn’t join the party. He prefers to sit inside and work on his stamp collection.

050712_dadstamps.jpg

All day and night. I wonder how much his collection is worth? Maybe I’ll inherit it one day.

I really don’t get stamp collecting. But then I’m sure my dad doesn’t get MP3 collecting. So we’re even.

I’m working on the picture section of plume.dk. It’s going well. Very well. If I’m lucky I might have it done in a couple of days. I might have to purchase more webspace first though. I’m not sure. But I got a great piece of gallery software and I’m busy at work on getting it done. It’s going to have all my pictures. From 2001 to today. I bet you can’t wait!

Now it’s hot and late and I’m going to retire myself for the day. You know what I would like? To take a bath in soda. That would be fun. A bathtub full of Cola. I’m not saying it’s something I’d want to do on a regular basis. But just to try it.

Exit stage left.

3speed

Oh man it’s so hot today.

How hot is it?

It’s so hot that I almost drank a beer. And I don’t drink alcohol. Unless it’s those fruity bacardi breezer things.

But the beer was sitting there in the fridge, looking all cold and nice. Anything cold is worthwhile on a day like today.

We don’t usually have beers in the fridge. But my dad’s brother is visiting. I mean, my uncle. Yes. So we have stocked up on beer. Not that he’s an alchoholic or anything. Just for the social side of things.

He has split with his wife. I’m not sure if they’re actually divorced yet or if they’re just separated. My mother’s brother was divorced a few years ago too. Maybe it’s a good thing that my parents were never married, eh? Or rather, maybe they should have split when I was a kid. Would have saved me a lot of trouble and heart-ache. But nevermind that.

The heat is overpowering. I have my feet in water. Feels good. I wish we had a bath tub. I would soak myself. Let myself melt into the water, pull the plug and flow away.

I just put my ventilator on speed setting 3. That’s the first time I have ever done that. Without my ventilator I would die. Horribly slowly painfully die. AND I’M NOT EXAGGERATING.

In other news, I made a dream journal type thing. Not very detailed descriptions so far but I’m hoping it will get better with time. I can look back at my life for years on various journals, why not be able to look back at my dreams for years? Might be fun.

Dream

I’m downtown with my parents.

I have bought my brother’s cell phone (this is true to real life). Someone is transmitting some sort of virus program into it. I keep struggling to stop it from installing itself.

A guy passes by me and says “oh you have a *insert cell phone brand*. I say “yes, I bought it used, yesterday”. He says “Oh” and walks away.

We’re going home. The bus comes. We run to it. Everyone else gets on but I don’t make it. The bus drives away and I’m left alone.

I stand at the bus stop. Waiting for the next one. People around me. Their faces. They’re all deformed. They look like orcs. Not orcs, just disfigured. At first I think it’s just one guy with a disfigured face, but now it’s everyone. They look at me. They look mean. And they mutter things under their breaths. “Idiot”. “Loser”. “I’m going to get you”. I spin around, confused. A non-disfigured girl looks at me and laughs “poor confused freak”.

I stand still to wait. On the building above me there is a angel face figure. Ornament. Stone. It becomes alive and turns to me. Turns into a demonic face and says “I’ll kill you”.

The bus comes and I flee onto it.

Heaven Is Overbooked

London is burning. 35 dead, 700 injured? That’s the latest figure I see.

When the news first came up it said “2 dead”. You know it’s a fucked world when you think to yourself “oh only 2″. It takes more to shock these days.

And you know, it scares me. It scares me that two days ago Bush was in Denmark. To thank our wonderful prime minister for his support in the war. “Our Danish friends”. Nevermind half the country is against Bush. Nevermind the lies and manipulation that the Danish government presented to get us into the war. Anders Fogh gets 5 minutes with Bush and some nice pictures for the scrap book. And we get to feel important. And spend millions on security.

There was a time, not long ago, when the idea of terrorism in Denmark was laughable. Little nobodies who never bothered anyone. Now we’re on the list.

If only we were on the list because we did something heroic, something good, something noble. But no, we’re on the list so Anders Fogh can be third in line in the press photos, standing just in the back to the right of Blair and Bush and whoever else they have licking boots.

There’s nothing like politics to make me cynical. Well, apart from this. A girl on livejournal says her cat got burned. She collects donations and sympathies. Then admits she made it up. Says it was an “experiment”. To me it sounds like she got caught and is trying to cover up her scamming. In any case, it’s sick. At least the cat is okay.

My thoughts go out to the Londoners, as little as that means in the grander scheme.

It’s times like these that I need some animals to restore my faith in humanity.

I’m totally FOR the animals. Look…Mads is on top of the picnic table but he didn’t blow any goats up to get there. I know the carnivore critters can be vicious, but when they’re not hungry they’re pretty placid and sleepy and disinterested in prey. Whereas humans have a more sinister kind of hunger. Evil mental stomachs they yurn to fill with trophies or some such. Oil reserves or slaves. I’ll take my chances with the animals. P.S. I think you’d like these pix. http://hellorabbit.diary-x.com/journal.cgi?entry=20050627b (scroll for the goats). Posting a pic of Misty in your guestbook.

George Bush And Anders Fjogh Rasmussen

bush and fogh

I don’t think I have ever been this proud to be Danish before.

…oh wait. There was that one time when we sued Greenpeace for terrorism.

I guess it’s a tie.

    Hej ukendte,

En der stod Klavs nær. Hmmm..

    Herlig hilsen

I’m Glad I Spent It With You

050704_magnethe2.jpg

Look how big she is. A huge, tiny little wonderful thing.

050704_magnethe1.jpg

I just want to kidnap her and keep her in my back yard.

Or move in at the playground. I actually thought it would be funny to spend the night inside the goats’ stables. Haha. I want to see them when they’re sleeping in there.

Unhealthy obsession? I think not!

…happy 4th of July, to whom it might apply. Whomever.

I Don’t Want For Anything

I miss you most at night. When I’m lying alone in my bed.
Waking up in the middle of the night and staring into a wall.
Walking down the street, behind a couple holding hands.
People speaking English in the busses.
Dogs that look like Sascha.
Heatwaves in the Netherlands.
Racks of sauces in the stores.
Sipping tea.
The Swedish chef.
And your warmth. Especially at night.

Suicidal Físh #9

New comic strip. I made it wider so posting it in my blog messes things up. I really must think things through before I do them.

PS. I still love Mutts.

Indian Summer

What a lovely day it is today. I am enjoying my vacation. Sleepless nights and sunshiny days. I think I would handle life much better if it was possible to have vacation one week per month. Three weeks work, one week decompression. I would make a good millionaire. Or hobo. Two sides of the same coin.

I went to the playground today. Was greeted by one of the girls. “Lasse, Lasse!” I love that they know my name, that they want to talk to me. She wanted to know if I still had the prize I had won with Magnethe. And where I kept it. It’s standing right here by my computer, by the way. I haven’t won many gold medals in my life. Not yet, anyway.

050701_girlsbunnies.jpg

Some other girls wanted me to help them with their bunnies. See, there are these two enclosure right next to each other. And they wanted to move the baby bunnies from one to the other. But they were afraid that the bunny that was already in the second enclosure would attack the babies. So my job consisted of picking that bunny up and holding it while they moved the other bunnies. Long story short: I stood and nuzzled a cute little bunny while a couple of girls ran around and tried to catch other little bunnies. Ain’t life grand?

050701_bunny.jpg

That’s the bunny. I can’t imagine it attacking anyone. Little furball. Hah. It was perfectly still as I held it. Bunnies are cute.

Kids are cute too.

050630_boy.jpg

That little boy was driving around. And everytime Black baaahed out loud, he would baah out loud too. It is kind of addictive when sheeps or goats baah. It makes you just want to join the fun. Like a pack of wolves, when one howls the others must join in.

And is there anything better than playing in water on a summer day?

050701_waterboys1.jpg

050701_waterboys2.jpg

On hot summer days everyone should have a sprinkler, a lake, a puddle or just some water balloons.

050701_horsecuddle.jpg

Aw look at the horses. It looked like they was smooching.

050701_white.jpg

No one smooched White, but I did pet him.

050701_kurtmadsmathilde.jpg

Everyone was having a good time. I talked to Kurt too. Asked him if they would be closing at any time. But nope, they won’t close for summer. So I can go up there as much as I want. That only makes my vacation the sweeter.

There was a teepee. For some reason it didn’t surprise me much that there was a teepee. And eventually kids started gathering around it.

050701_teepee.jpg

And some people dressed as indians started dancing around and telling stories.

050701_indian1.jpg

050701_indian2.jpg

Looked like good fun. Although Mads seemed puzzled.

050701_madswatching.jpg

“Silly humans”.

The proceedings didn’t hold the goats’ interest for long. They soon figured out that everyone was out on the field, so the club house was empty.

050701_goatsinside.jpg

Sneaky goats. You have to keep an eye on them or they’ll be up to no good.

Magnethe kept jumping in with the bunnies too, so I had to help the girls with getting her out. They were afraid Magnethe would trample the lil babies. And of course the more I tried to get Magnethe out of the bunny patch, the more she wanted to get in. They really do have a mind of their own, those goats.

There was a woman who flicked water at Mads to get him to go away from the bunny food. He didn’t like that. Makes sense, they don’t like rain either. But when the woman flicked water at Magnethe there was no reaction. It looked like Magnethe was actually enjoying it. What did I say? On a summer day there’s nothing better than playing with water.

But now I’m off to enjoy my vacation again. I hope the times are treating you well, my friends.
